Part 1 - JNCTN 101 education series

10th October 2022

Today we’re launching our JNCTN 101 education series about all things #credentials related.

You’ll learn about what we’re trying to achieve with our technology and get insights into what makes #JNCTN tick, who we are and what we believe in.

Let's kick things off with what are credentials?

The dictionary definition of a “credential” is:
A qualification, achievement, quality, or aspect of a person's background, especially when used to indicate their suitability for something.

In real life this means that an individual has gained external or internal skills, training qualifications, a licence or registration and/or work authorities – such as site inductions.

The use cases for needing to know someone’s credentials are growing exponentially, from onboarding employees, health and safety compliance to knowing your customer (KYC). Knowing that someone has the right skills to undertake the right tasks in any environment is a must to meet employment obligations, regulatory and compliance requirements.

As we continue this series we will explore where credentials fit in everyday life and how they can be operationalised in everyday scenarios.
